sigmund It just seems like Swangz Avenue singer Winifred Nakanwagi popularly known as Winnie Nwagi cannot keep herself out of the tabloids these days and for the wrong reasons. News reaching our desk indicates how she recently thumped her housemaid to near death after being high on narcotics.
The housemaid who appeared to be frail and in great pain on the NBS Uncut show narrated of the painful ordeals she has been undergoing in the Mataala singer’s house.She said that she had gone to pick her medicine and on return found the singer waiting for her at the entrance.’Namusanze Ku gate nambuza gyenva nemugamba nti mbadde ngenze kunona ddagala lyange kuddwaliro koye kwekungamba nti nimba, nagattako mbu ngende nzijje ebisiraani byange munyumba ye muviire’, loosely translating that I had gone to hospital to pick my tablets and on return I found her at the gate waiting for me and when she asked where I was coming from, I told her to which she replied that I’m lying. and I should go inside and pack my garbage and leave her house fast as I can.
She went ahead to tell how Nwagi has been making her wash her undies and on top of that hurling obscene words at her that we cannot even publish here. This same maid went on to allege how Winnie Nwagi has been leaving just ten thousand shillings and expecting her to cook a five-star hotel meal with that meagre money. The maid who looked teary also told the reporter of how the Swangz avenue star has been failing to protect her from her friends that are usually high on weed, ‘aleeta wano mikwano gye nebafuweta enjaga yabwe olumaala nebanvuma vuma, ela Nwagi tafuwese njaga ayina kyanoonya, ela bulikika kyayo akinywa’ meaning that Winnie brings her friends home with whom they smoke every type of narcotics.
The maid went ahead to narrate on how she was beaten badly by the musawo singer and since she goes to the gym she is so powerful. A case was reported to police and Winnie is being hunted now. The former housemaid said that she wanted Winnie Nwagi to pay her hospital bills and refund her money that got lost while she was being beaten up by the singer. In a secret recording captured in the singer’s residence Nwagi is heard saying that she knows the body parts of the maid where she thumped. This maid when asked why the neighbors did not come to her rescue, she said that Nwagi has bad manners in the neighborhood and everyone fears her so nobody can interfere in her compound.
