sandee The well known tv presenters on NBS Television Mr. Edwin Katamba alias MC Kats and Douglas Lwanga are leading a million dollar deal of Uganda AIDS Commission.
The campaign dubbed “End HIV/AIDS in Uganda” is known to run and end in 2030.
Just a few people have come onboard to lead this campaign but regardless only Douglas Lwanga and MC Kats who are well known hosts for the NBS After 5 show managed to take lead in this major deal.
The Uganda AIDS Commission is using this campaign to enable reduce and fight the spread of HIV/AIDS among the youth in Uganda especially in schools.
In December 2019, MC Kats opened up about being HIV Positive which shocked many such as his big base of fans and friends. Hence, many charity organizations that are fighting Aids across the world saw him as saviour to young while contacting him for a deal.
The motive to him opening up was to spread awareness and stop the spread of the disease especially among the youth and young people. He encouraged to mobilise this message with media and different campaigns.
