Business man Sudhir Ruparelia has plans to improve the Ugandan hospitality sector and Kampala in general as the Kampala Kingdom Hotel is underway. This works will be ready for ground breaking in 2023 and the hotel will be ready by 2026.
Kingdom Kampala Hotel is set to be an architectural marvel that will borrow the sister mall’s burnt clay brick finish for its exterior.
This exclusive hotel will have 200 rooms including suites, penthouses and 35 conference rooms. The built up area for this hotel will be 110,000 square meters.
To add on, the Kingdom Kampala Hotel will have 226 high end apartments attached to this hotel according to Sudhir.
The Ruparelia Group is the foremost investor in the hospitality sector under the Speke Group of Hotels with establishments like the Commonwealth Resort and Speke Resort Munyonyo that hosted the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in 2007. Others include Speke Hotel, Kabira Country Club, Speke Apartments Wampewo and Speke Apartments Kitante.
