Miss Africa Calabar 2021 begins registration

The Miss Africa Beauty Contest has commenced registration for the 2021 edition to get the next beauty queen in Africa.

This contest will take place on 27th December 2021 during the annual Calabar Christmas Festival.

The 2021 contest will be the 6th edition of the continental show and will have more countries participating compared to last year when COVID-19 was at its peak across the world.

The registration for the different contestants started on 1st August 2021 and will end on 30th September 2021.

Subsequently, there will be auditions on selection of one lady to stand as Miss Africa and also represent her country respectively.

Registration is open to the 54 African countries with their representatives between the age brackets of 18-27.

This can be done via the website www.missafrica.tv and also through the country directors in some selected countries.

The Senior Special Assistant Governor’s Office Events Production & Tourism, Mr. Thomas Ikpeme, said that this event will be hosted by His Excellency, Senator Prof. Ben Ayade, the Executive Governor of Cross River State.

He further assured that all established Covid-19 pandemic protocols will be strictly enforced.

Miss Africa Calabar 2021 partners and associates includes, Zenith Bank, First Bank, UBA, MTN, Lafarge, Multichoice, DSTV, Carnival Calabar and Calabar Christmas Festival.
