The Uganda government announced this week how it’s inviting the impressive Olympics commentator Rob Walker on a fully paid for trip.
Walker during the Olympic awarding ceremony of medals to Kiplimo and Cheptegei made remarkable compliments about the beauty of the people and nature of the Pearl of Africa.
And with many people watching the games via TV and other internet outlets, Walker indeed advertised Uganda in the very best way possible.
The announcement of Walker’s invitation was revealed by the State Minister of sports Hanson Obua.
“The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Education and Sports and Uganda Tourism Board have extended an invitation to @robwalkertv the famous Olympics commentator who proudly talked about Uganda’s beautiful features including “Nile Special.” A parliamentary tweet read
Walker also received the news with great enthusiasm saying it will be a great pleasure for him to be back to the country since 2017.
I am absolutely delighted to accept the kind offer! It will be brilliant to come back to Uganda for the first time since 2017. I’m happy to help with anything to do with sport & education. As soon as it’s safe to travel again, I’m there!” Walker tweeted.
After his beautiful comments, Rob Walker became a sensation and darling amongst Ugandans who feel that he should be rewarded too.
