MC Kats set to leave NBS TV and Crysto Panda named as possible replacement

MC Kats originally known as Edwin Katamba is a popular media personality and big face on entertainment screens.

News has it that the presenter for the NBS After 5 show will leave the Naguru based TV to concentrate on the HIV/AIDS education campaigns. 

He has been hosting the show alongside Dj Roja, Dvj Mercy, and Douglas Lwanga.

Reports also indicate that MC Kats signed a mega deal with Uganda AIDS Commission and other health organisations to run the “End AIDS by 2030” campaign.

Mc Kats is expected to be replaced by Crysto Panda on the show.

Edwin attained his academic qualifications at Namilyango primary, Busoga College, Kitante High and Makerere High. He then proceeded to UMCAT School of Journalism to study a course in Journalism and Mass Communication.

He kicked off his professional career in the media world at WBS TV in a show called named Teens’ Club. This then launched him for more gigs developing his skills and networks as an MC. He has also worked at NTV Uganda given his exposure to Journalism and Mass Communication. He then moved to NBS TV running a show named NBS after5. He currently ranks as one of Uganda’s most sought MCs.
