Uganda’s climate activist Vanessa Nakatte made history by becoming the first Ugandan to appear on the official cover photo of the New York Times Magazine.
Vanessa a graduate of MUBS Nakawa has always been at the forefront of fighting for climate justice in Uganda and Africa at large.
This has seen her win a number of awards and appreciation for her work.
The Times magazine while revealing the outstanding climate activists said that to reach to the intended clinlmate goals, there needs to be innovation, policy activism a thing Nakatte has done excellently.
She’s famously remembered for her on going campaign of We can’t drink oil which is against the building of the East African oil pipeline.
