Eddy Kenzo Clinches Male Best East African Artist Afrimma Award

Uganda’s Afrobeats singer Eddy Kenzo has bagged the AFRIMMA award for the best male East African singer 2021.

The Semyekozo singer last night was announced the winner of this prestigious award at the ceremony that took place in Nigeria.

The Big Talent boss beat other big artists from East Africa to win the award.

These included the likes of Tanzanian heavyweights Diamond Platinumz, Rayvanny, Harmonize, Rwanda’s Meddy, Kenya’s Sauti Sol, Darassa among others.

Kenzo who was not present at the awards ceremony took to his social media pages to thank everyone that voted for him to claim this award.

“Thank you God for making this possible for us again.
Thank you All Africa Music Awards it’s always an honor.” Eddy Kenzo posted.

Taata Aamal was however not the only Ugandan singer nominated in the awards.

The likes of B2C, Afrie, Double S, Rema and Spice Diana had also picked up nominations in different awards.

Kenzo was in 2020 beaten to the award by Diamond Platinumz but he made sure the repeat didn’t happen this year as he rose the Ugandan flag high.

The singer is slowly making the AFRIMMA awards his staple food.
